Stay in a traditional roundhouse or camp in lush and fertile grounds.
You can eat typical Ugandan meals and relax in a beautiful ecological
setting. Most of the food provided is home-grown on the farm.
Mpora is an ideal base for hiking the Ruwenzori foothills, exploring
the Kasenda crater lakes, discovering the Amabere caves, and tracking
chimpanzees in Kibale Forest National Park. The Semliki National Park
and Wildlife Reserve are also easily accessible. We can provide you
with experienced local guides and have bicycles and a car with driver
for hire.
The Mpora Rural Family Home supports local children throughout their
education and many of them live on the grounds. You can learn
about local culture and visit other community projects during
