Meet Yonnah
"I am 13 years old and am in Standard One class at the Mountains of the Moon Secondary School. My favourite subject is Science. I have lived at the Mpora Rural Family home for 3 years so that I can study. My jobs are helping with the sweeping, washing the car and cleaning. I visit my mum and dad who live far away when I can.  The best things about living here are getting to play Volleyball with all my friends and the food is great."

Meet Mayor Derrik
Mayor Derrik is 5 years old, he’s shy but likes to play football. Mayor Derrik goes to primary school and he likes to play picture bingo. He has been living with the Mpora family for 12 months but gets to visit his mum during school holidays. He helps with the sweeping but loves playing with his friend Obama.

Meet Violet Kahunde
"I am 14 years of age and these are my friends. I came to live with the Mpora family a year ago when my family struggled to pay my school fees. Staying here means that I can continue to study. I am in Standard 2 class and like science best as I would like to be a nurse. I help out around the home with the little ones and like cooking."
